Welcome to the UCC in Cornwall!

OURS IS A COMMUNITY OF FAITH where some folks know deeply what they believe, and others are still searching.  Here we Belong to a group where we can grow and Become who we are called to be.  We can also give to something Beyond ourselves.  But there is no mold to fit.  Everyone can come as you are.  We celebrate our common ground while honoring our differences:  “In essentials, unity; in nonessentials, diversity; in all things, charity.”
(from the establishing documents of the national United Church of Christ)

Faith Formation
After a message designed specifically for children and the opportunity for all to participate in the offering, children ages 3 – 9th grade may attend Church School in the Parish House where creative and engaging lessons focus on God’s love and on learning the stories of faith.  Mission and giving to others is a strong component of our program, the children choosing special projects on behalf of others, both locally and globally.
Confirmation classes are held for 8th and 9th graders every other year or as needed.
Continuing Education programs are held at 11:30 am several times a year on topics like church history, issues of peace and justice, and health and the environment.  Bible Study and special book studies are also held regularly.

Medical Equipment Loan Program
If you need medical equipment, the UCC Medical Equipment Loan Program is here for you!
We have a wide range of medical equipment to loan including wheelchairs, hospital beds, lift chairs, walkers, tub-transfer benches, shower seats and much, much more. Just call our program coordinator to discuss your needs and pickup arrangements. We ask that patrons pick up and drop off all equipment. In exceptional circumstances we may be able to find volunteers to transport the equipment.

The program is free to everyone in Northwestern Connecticut and surrounding communities.

Community Outreach
The UCC in Cornwall seeks to live the love and justice of Jesus as we serve the community and world.  We believe that all people seek to be a part of something that goes beyond themselves.  So in all that we do, we create opportunities for people to belong to a caring community that is not closed, but open to all who would join us in service.  In addition, anyone of any faith or no faith or wondering about faith who wants to lift others up is invited to work with us to share our values of love of The Holy, love of neighbor, and love of Creation.
Go to our Outreach page to learn more about opportunities for community, for giving, for working, and for sharing.

TAKE A LOOK!

WHAT MATTERS TO YOU, MATTERS TO US.
We are about faith and justice, exploration, and understanding.  So, no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you and your questions are welcome here.
